At Cornerstone University we are committed to providing you with an education that will prepare you to make a positive impact and significant contribution to the world in which you live. Jesus talked about this to His disciples during the Sermon on the Mount as being the "Salt and Light" of the world. He made it very clear that we as Christians really have no choice; we are "salt and light." The question is how effective we are in that role.
The academic program at Cornerstone University has been designed to enable you to become the effective "salt and light" that Christ desires for His disciples. Faculty members who are competent and serious scholars in their respective disciplines will teach you. These men and women also demonstrate deep personal commitments to the Lord Jesus Christ and will invest more than just teaching time in your life during your stay at Cornerstone. In addition, you will find that your classes are taught from a uniquely Christian perspective, allowing you to apply the unchanging principles of God's Word to a rapidly changing world.
From the first course you take as a student until the last capstone course in your major field of study, you will be challenged to consider the many and complex implications of thinking and living in a distinctly Christian manner. Your academic involvement will be complemented and strengthened by a variety of learning opportunities provided by the staff of educators working in the university's Student Development division. Through experiences in the classroom as well as those planned for your education outside the classroom, you will find that a genuine Christian education involves the whole of life.
It is my sincere prayer that you will take full advantage of the many opportunities to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ while you are a part of Cornerstone University. We believe that God has a significant contribution for you to make and we count it a great privilege to participate in preparing you for that role.
