Hogerwerf joined the CU Radio Advancement team in 2005 as an associate in business development for WCSG. He contact businesses in the greater Kalamazoo area with the goal of gaining new business partners to support the ministry of WCSG.
Background: Hogerwerf graduate of Michigan State University with a B.A. in Communication Arts-Broadcasting, Moody Bible Institute with a B.A. in International Ministries and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with an M.A. in Bible. He and his wife have served wtih Trans World Radio for 11 years in Europe and southern Africa, 18 years with RBM Ministries of Kalamazoo and 8 years with Moody Bible Institute as stewardship representative for Michigan.
Interests: He enjoys reading, yard work and doing small building projects. He has traveled in over 30 countries, some of them with his wife, Phyllis, when they were missionaries. They have two children, Michele and Rob. Michele and her husband, Jeff, have three children and are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship-having recently served in Mali, West Africa. Their son Rob and daughter-in-law Beth are both Cornerstone graduates. Rob is a realtor serving Grand Rapids and Beth is a veterinarian at a local clinic.
