LOCATION: PGS – Grand Rapids Campus

SUMMARY
The Associate Professor of Business is responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate business courses within an adult accelerated program. Preference will be given to faculty with academic credentials and professional experience in the areas of accounting and finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Facilitates the teaching of graduate and undergraduate courses.
o Assists the Associate Provost and Dean of Business Programs in the development, review and revision of accounting and finance curriculum.
o Provides leadership and administrative support for various committees and special projects.
o Participates in scheduled faculty development workshops, candidate evaluations, convocation and commencement ceremonies.
o Completes a bi-annual personal professional development plan.
o Stays current and active in field demonstrating knowledge and credentials in discipline.

Qualifications
o Doctorate or terminal degree (MBA/CPA). Concentration in finance and accounting preferred.
o Minimum 18 graduation credit hours in accounting, finance, or management.
o Significant teaching experience in adult education.
o Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
o Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment.
